• Avoid taking NSAIDs (advil, ibuprofen, aleve, aspirin, motrin), Vitamin E, fish oil, etc for 2 weeks prior to treatment. This helps reduce your chance of bruising.

    Avoid alcohol consumption 24 hours prior to treatment.

    You cannot be breast feeding or pregnant to get neurotoxin.

    No treatment within 2 weeks before and after any vaccine.

    No facial infections at the time of treatment (ex: cold sores or fungal infections).

    TIP: schedule your appointment 1 month prior to your large event (ex: wedding, vacation, speaking event) so the fullest effects of the tox will have set in by then.

  • No strenuous activity for 24 hours.

    Remain sitting upright for the first 4 hours after treatment (no naps!!)

    Do NOT massage or rub the treated areas for a minimum of 24 hours (gentle face washing is okay).

    No facials, massages, or using clarisonic like devices for 14 days after treatment.

    Avoid tanning beds, saunas, steam rooms and hot tubs for 24 hours.

    No headbands or hats for 24 hours.

    Pleased arrive without any make up on, a clean face is best, if you have make up on - it will have to be removed prior to injecting.

    You cannot receive treatment if you’ve had any vaccinations 2 weeks prior to treatment or 2 weeks after treatment.

    If you get more than 3 cold sores a year, we must pre-treat you with an anti-viral prior to treatment, please reach out if you need a prescription or discuss with your primary care physician.

    You must reschedule if you have any cold sores or rashes present on area where we will be injecting.

    Make sure to eat a meal prior to coming to your treatment as well as be adequately hydrated.

    You cannot be on antibiotics for 2 weeks prior to appointment as well as 2 weeks after treatment, if you are - please call and reschedule your appointment.

    You cannot receive cheek filler if you have cheek implants, same goes with chin implants.

    You cannot receive filler if you have a lidocaine allergy.

    If you have any autoimmune disorders, we will be unable to treat you due to the uncertainty of how your body will react to the filler.

    PRE CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

  • EMERGENT- please contact us IMMEDIATELY if you have any of the following:

    Color change (specifically white/dusky coloring) to anywhere on the face — even if it’s not directly where you were injected.

    Severe pain, color change, and enormous swelling hours after the treatment. This should be getting better, not worse.

    Herpes or a blister like break out up to 3 days after treatment.

    GENERAL POST CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

    No strenuous activity for 24 hours.

    Remain make up free for the first 24 hours of treatment.

    Do NOT sleep on your face for the first 3 days, especially if you received cheek filler.

    AVOID massaging or manipulating product.

    Avoid dental appointments for 2 weeks.

    Avoid using straws and oral sex for 4 weeks.

    No facials, massages, or using clarisonic like devices for 14 days after treatment.

    Avoid tanning beds, saunas, steam rooms, sun exposure and hot tubs for 24 hours.

    If you need some pain relief, use tylenol (unless it’s contraindicated with your current medications), as it doesn’t thin the blood and won’t cause additional bruising/swelling.

    You can use arnica tablets or gel to help with the bruising/swelling unless it’s contraindicated with any medications you’re currently taking.
